4. (c) The Global Hunger Index (GHI) is designed to comprehensively measure and track hunger globally and by country and region. GHI is calculated each year by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI).
The GHI ranks countries based on four key indicators - undernourishment, child mortality, child wasting and child stunting. The GHI 2020 report has placed India 94th position among 107 countries, much behind Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nepal.
