2. (b) - India lies among 5th largest coal reserves and world's 3rd producer and importer of coal. We see that coal in India is of lower grade while imported coal have less ash and more carbon content which able to create more heat per kilogram which can be used in steel companies, so statement 3 is correct. Being good producer of coal, in India, power plants are mostly coal based, so normal production of coal will not be much for power plants.
