(d) Chinese computer system which was recently named the world’s most powerful supercomputer. ANSWERS 1. (a) Nirbhay is a surface-to-surface, long-range subsonic cruise missile. It is a “tree-top” missile, which can fly at varying heights from five metres to five km. it is powered by a solid rocket motor booster, is guided by a highly advanced inertial navigation system. The missile, conceived, designed and developed by the DRDO, can take out targets 1,000 km away. It can carry a 300 kg warhead. It can carry multiple payloads and engage several targets. The missile can be fired from a variety of platforms such as a truck, a ship, an aircraft and underwater systems. 2. (b) The Law Commission of India is a non-statutory body constituted by the Government of India from time to time. The Commission was originally constituted in 1955 and is reconstituted every three years. It was not established through an Act of Parliament 3. (d) 4. (b)  5. (d) Sunway-TaihuLight is a supercomputer developed by the National Research Centre of Parallel Computer Engineering and Technology of China (NRCPC) built entirely using processors designed and made in China. It was declared the world’s fastest supercomputer, according to the November 2016 edition of the semi-annual Top 500 Supercomputer list.
